Founded in 1920 by eleven people, the club first played on heathland used for military exercises near San Maurizio Canavese. In 1927 it moved to nine holes shared with horse racing at the Mirafiori trotting track, then to the Colle della Maddalena in 1951, before reaching La Mandria, which opened to members in 1956–57.
In 1965, during the 72-hole Torino Open, Alfonso "Lillo" Angelini made nine birdies and one bogey for a course-record 65 that stood until 1999, the year the club first hosted the Open d'Italia (won by Dean Robertson at 271).
Edoardo and Francesco Molinari grew up at the club, which counts their 2009 World Cup win and Europe's 2010 and 2012 Ryder Cup wins in its trophy record. Edoardo won the 2005 U.S. Amateur at Merion.
When the Open d'Italia returned to La Mandria in 2026, Spain's Eugenio Chacarra won at 260 (24 under), five strokes ahead of Matt Wallace.

The club points out that no roads and no buildings cross the course; it is golf and forest only.
In 1956 the club chose architect John Stenton Fleming Morrison to turn part of La Mandria's forest into a course; English architect John Harris later designed the third nine, now the second half of the Giallo course.
The Blu's 13th is a downhill par 3 with water guarding a very narrow green, which the club calls difficult even when the pin is at the back.
The PGA Tour and DP World Tour weeks at this course since 2017.

A value no source confirmed is left out; nothing is estimated. The light in the room is the sun's real position on the last day of a recorded visit.
