After storms put the Atzenbrugg course under water in 2009, the Guzy family took it over and renamed it Diamond Country Club. Christian Guzy Senior had long sat in the clubhouse after rounds sketching on scraps of paper how he would rebuild holes, and within a year the course was hosting the European Tour.
At one European Tour event at Diamond, John Daly threw his club into the water in front of spectators out of frustration and walked off, ending his round; the club still tells the story on its course page.

Bernd Wiesberger became the first Austrian to win the European Tour event at Diamond when he took the 2012 Lyoness Open, three strokes clear of Thomas Levet and Shane Lowry.

The Diamond Course is routed around a 10-hectare lake, and its water hazards are the club's own headline feature of the layout.

Miguel Ángel Jiménez, a 21-time European Tour winner, personally redesigned one of the course's classic dogleg holes to make it harder (the club's page names it hole 17 in one paragraph and hole 8 in another).

The club switched the Diamond Course's bunkers to the Durabunker system and bills them as the most spectacular bunkers in Austria.

The Boathouse was built in 2012 as an event venue and the VIP area for the European Tour week, and was relaunched in 2020 as a fine-dining restaurant.
The course sits in the Tullnerfeld beside the Danube and was flooded in 2002 and again in 2009; a pumping system installed in 2010 was meant to reduce the flood risk, but autumn 2024 flooding forced another rebuild.

Every value is shown as recorded in GNN's tour-course research (profiles, championship history, the tour's visits since 2017, stories, details and course changes, each with its sources). A value no source confirmed is left out; nothing is estimated. The light in the room is the sun's real position on the last day of a recorded visit.
