In May 2025 (22-25) El Camaleón staged an LPGA Tour event, the tour's first in Mexico since 2017, making it one of the few courses to have hosted the PGA Tour, LIV Golf and the LPGA.
Two of El Camaleón's holes run along the Caribbean Sea, while the rest wind through jungle, mangroves and canals.
The locker room, which overlooks the 18th, carries commemorative plaques for every Mayakoba Golf Classic champion.
Greg Norman's par-72 layout has five sets of tee markers on every hole.
El Camaleón is certified by Audubon International as a Cooperative Sanctuary for protecting its land, water and wildlife habitat.
The PGA Tour and DP World Tour weeks at this course since 2017.

A value no source confirmed is left out; nothing is estimated. The light in the room is the sun's real position on the last day of a recorded visit.
