The first Fiji International, held at Natadola Bay in August 2014, was Fiji's first golf tournament broadcast internationally, reaching more than 30 countries; from 2016 it was co-sanctioned by the European Tour.

In 2018 Vijay Singh returned to the course he designed to play the Fiji International, in a field that also included fellow Hall of Famer Ernie Els; India's Gaganjeet Bhullar won by one stroke at 14 under.

The club says the Pacific trade winds can change how each hole plays on the coastal links-style layout, and its par-3 4th hugs the ocean edge, where wind and distance control decide the shot.

The course was designed by Lautoka-born Vijay Singh, a three-time major winner and former world No. 1, the best-known golfer Fiji has produced.

Each year the course closes greens in stages for renovation in November–December (3 November to 4 December in 2026), with reduced green fees while the work goes on.
