Rory McIlroy set the course scoring record of 61 on May 16, 2015 at the Wells Fargo Championship.
Quail Hollow began at a meeting hosted by James J. Harris at Morrocroft Farm on April 13, 1959; 21 founders signed the certificate of incorporation that December, and the white southern-style clubhouse opened in September 1967.

Built in 2004 between the 9th and 10th fairways, Champions Park honours Quail Hollow's professional winners: a rock structure lists Kemper and World Seniors winners, and a 20-foot fireplace carries gold plaques for Wells Fargo champions.

The closing three holes all bring water in: the 16th approach goes downhill to a peninsula green with water left and long, the par-3 17th has water in front and along the whole left side, and a creek runs the full left side of the 18th.

The 1st is a par 5 for member play but a long par 4 in championships.

The 14th is the shortest par 4 on the course; players can lay up past water and a deep bunker on the left or use a right-to-left fairway slope to drive the green.

Every value is shown as recorded in GNN's tour-course research (profiles, championship history, the tour's visits since 2017, stories, details and course changes, each with its sources). A value no source confirmed is left out; nothing is estimated. The light in the room is the sun's real position on the last day of a recorded visit.
