Silkeborg is the home club of Thomas Bjørn, who oversaw its 2007 expansion from 18 to 27 holes. In 2018, his year as European Ryder Cup captain, the Made in Denmark moved to his home course, and it was the last counting event for his team.

England's Matt Wallace won the 2018 Made in Denmark at Silkeborg Ry with 269 (19 under), the event's one year away from HimmerLand between 2014 and 2023.
The 411-yard par-4 7th on the West course is played from an elevated tee over three cross bunkers in the landing area before the fairway kinks right to a green guarded by a tree and a bunker.
The 540-yard par-5 8th on the South course (the 17th of the old 18-hole layout), which the club rates among Denmark's most formidable holes, is driven down a chute of trees.
The 195-yard par-3 5th on the new East course, a members' favourite, has a large expanse of water waiting right of the green.
The original club sits at Resenbro, north of Silkeborg, in the area known as "the heart of Jutland"; its Ry course is 16 km away.
Expansion from 18 to 27 holes: nine new holes to the east; the layout was reorganised into West, South and East nines.
The PGA Tour and DP World Tour weeks at this course since 2017.

Every value is shown as recorded in GNN's tour-course research (profiles, championship history, the tour's visits since 2017, stories, details and course changes, each with its sources). A value no source confirmed is left out; nothing is estimated. The light in the room is the sun's real position on the last day of a recorded visit.
