On the par-4 12th Stanley Thompson raised the hills on the left by six feet to make the fairway bunkers more dramatic, a move the club calls one of his finest.
The 215-yard par-3 8th was designed for match play: short, long or left leaves an almost impossible recovery, so the prudent play is to the fairway short right.
Robbie Robinson set the par-5 15th's green atop a hill before the 1968 Canadian Open; Tom Doak called it the most memorable and intimidating hole on the course.
To stage the Canadian Open the club closes busy Islington Avenue and shuttles players to the practice facilities at neighbouring Islington Golf Club.

Every value is shown as recorded in GNN's tour-course research (profiles, championship history, the tour's visits since 2017, stories, details and course changes, each with its sources). A value no source confirmed is left out; nothing is estimated. The light in the room is the sun's real position on the last day of a recorded visit.
