A rugged creek walled with volcanic rock winds through the lower-lying first nine, whose holes are enclosed by maple, oak and kryptomeria (Japanese cedar).
The inward nine climbs to higher ground with heather and bracken; some holes play straight at Mount Halla, Jeju's volcano, and others toward the sea where the sun sets.
The club notes that no two consecutive holes point the same way, so no two play in the same wind, and that Jeju always has wind; every hole has at least five sets of tees to cope with it.
At the LPGA CJ Nine Bridges Classic the club presented the champion with a hanbok, the traditional Korean costume, and fine ceramics (a jade cup trophy in 2004) instead of the usual jacket and trophy.
The PGA Tour and DP World Tour weeks at this course since 2017.

Every value is shown as recorded in GNN's tour-course research (profiles, championship history, the tour's visits since 2017, stories, details and course changes, each with its sources). A value no source confirmed is left out; nothing is estimated. The light in the room is the sun's real position on the last day of a recorded visit.
The clubhouse is drawn by GNN from reference photographs; the photographs stay private.
