Severiano Ballesteros won the 1995 Spanish Open on the Negro by two strokes; the club records it as the last individual victory of his career.
In 2024 Ángel Hidalgo, who had never finished top three in 79 European tour starts and had once watched Rahm here as a spectator, missed a short putt on the 72nd hole, then beat Rahm with a birdie at the second playoff hole on the 18th to stop him becoming the first four-time Spanish Open winner.

José María Olazábal won the Spanish boys' championship (Campeonato de España Infantil) at the club aged 14.
The club describes the 13th as the "twin" of the 1st: both are par 4s with a slight dogleg right.

The 6th, stroke index 1, is a dogleg left where the drive must stop short of a hazard crossing the fairway, to a blind two-tier green.

Every value is shown as recorded in GNN's tour-course research (profiles, championship history, the tour's visits since 2017, stories, details and course changes, each with its sources). A value no source confirmed is left out; nothing is estimated. The light in the room is the sun's real position on the last day of a recorded visit.
