William P. Bell envisioned a wind-swept municipal course on the mesa before his death in 1953. A special city election in 1956 set aside about 100 acres of the former Camp Callan for public golf, and his son William F. Bell completed both courses, which opened in 1957.

A value no source confirmed is left out; nothing is estimated. The light in the room is the sun's real position on the last day of a recorded visit.
