What happened at the 2017 ANA Inspiration
Leading by two in the final round, Lexi Thompson was told between the 12th green and 13th tee that a TV viewer's email had led to a four-stroke penalty for misplacing her ball on the 17th green in round three and signing an incorrect card.
Ryu closed with a bogey-free 68 capped by a birdie at the 72nd hole and then birdied the 18th again to beat Thompson on the first playoff hole.
