How GNN uses AI
Golf Network News is built by George with AI tools. This page says what those tools do here, what George checks, and what they never do.
What AI tools do
- Research: they help gather golf's records from named sources (championship results, player records, course data) into GNN's own data sets, each fact with its source.
- Drafting: a writing workflow drafts each news story from one published report, with context from GNN's records, as described on The Desk's page. AI tools also help draft the text of the rooms and pages.
- Building: they help write and check the code that turns the data into the rooms, the player cards and the other pages.
What George checks
- George reads and approves every news story before it publishes. Nothing is published without that approval.
- Every fact on GNN traces to a named source. Where sources disagree, or a record is missing, GNN leaves the value empty and says so instead of guessing.
What AI never does here
- It never invents facts, numbers or results.
- It never invents or paraphrases quotes: a quote on GNN is word for word from its source.
- It never makes images of real events or real people. GNN's pictures are illustrations and cards made from its own records.
Report a problem
If something on GNN is wrong, or looks invented, email networkgolfnews@gmail.com with the page link and what's wrong. GNN checks it against the source and fixes it; see the corrections policy and the editorial policy.
