What happened at the 1960 Masters

Palmer birdied the 17th and 18th holes to beat Ken Venturi by one stroke and led alone after every round, the second wire-to-wire Masters winner after Craig Wood.

Dow Finsterwald received a two-stroke penalty for practice putting on a green after holing out, and finished third, two strokes behind Palmer.
