What happened at the 1948 PGA Championship

In the quarterfinal Claude Harmon led Snead 5 up after a morning 64; Snead shot 64 in the afternoon to square it with a five-footer on the 36th, then putted around a Harmon stymie on the 37th.

On the 42nd hole a tape measure decided who was away and Harmon holed his roughly 20-foot putt to beat Snead.
