What happened at the 1922 Amateur Championship

Final: Caven was 2 up with 5 to go in the morning; Holderness, 1 up at the 36th, saw Caven hole a five-yard putt on the last green and then holed his own three-yarder for the half and the title, before a crowd Darwin put at 15,000-20,000

Semi-final: at the 15th, Hunter (1 down) hit the tin with a sub-yard putt to square, the ball kicked away and laid himself a stymie; Holderness went 2 up and won 2 & 1
