What happened at the 1973 Amateur Championship
Final: Moody conceded the 1st hole and lost the 2nd; Siderowf was four up after 10 holes and lunched four up.
Final, afternoon 3rd hole: Siderowf's spoon (3-wood) shot struck the stony beach and rebounded over spectators 60 yards back down the fairway; he hit his third to 12 feet and holed it for a 4 to win the hole.
Quarterfinal, Dick Siderowf v. Allan Brodie, won on 19th hole. Siderowf beat the last Scot left with a birdie 3 at the 19th.
Quarterfinal, Peter Moody v. Pat Mulcare, won on 20th hole. Moody survived to the 20th hole.
