What happened at the 2001 U.S. Amateur

Final: 5 down after 14 holes of the morning round, Dickerson rallied with two birdies and an eagle on the 20th hole to square the match; after a double bogey at the 34th he tied it with a par at the 35th and two-putted the 36th to win 1 up.

Semifinal: Dickerson edged Brian Nosler 1 up by chipping in from the rough at the 16th and holing a 40-foot putt at the 17th, in a match soured by an unconceded tap-in at the 11th; Nosler had ousted defending champion Jeff Quinney in the quarterfinals.
