What happened at the 1910 Women’s Amateur
Eighteen-year-old Midlands champion Lily Moore beat Madge Neill Fraser by two holes in a semi-final described as 'well nigh perfect' golf, then froze with nerves in the final (Sydney Mail 1910-06-29).
Elsie Grant Suttie of East Lothian beat Mrs. Tamworth 7 and 6 in the semi-finals and Moore 6 and 4 in the final, a Scottish triumph at Westward Ho!.
Final, Elsie Grant Suttie v. Lily Moore. Eighteen-year-old Lily Moore 'hopelessly failed to do herself justice' through nerves in the final and lost 6 up and 4 to Elsie Grant Suttie (Sydney Mail 1910-06-29).
