What happened at the 1935 Women’s Amateur
Pam Barton beat her sister Mervyn 2 and 1 in the semi-finals after Mervyn won four holes in a row from five down with six to play and then found a bunker at the 17th (Toowoomba Chronicle 1935-05-31).
Barton dismissed her caddie after the morning round of the final; the caddies protested to the LGU and some were cautioned for applauding when Wanda Morgan won holes (Referee, Sydney, 1935-07-04).
Final, Wanda Morgan v. Pam Barton. Wanda Morgan, out-driven but the steadier putter, went round the first 18 of the final in 76 to Pam Barton's 78 and won 3 and 2; Barton played in trousers (Telegraph, Brisbane, 1935-05-31).
