What happened at the 1965 Women’s Amateur

With heavy rain on the Old Course, the Ladies' Golf Union postponed the semi-finals to Saturday morning and cut the final to 18 holes for the first time since it was lengthened to 36.

In the final Brigitte Varangot holed from five feet at the 5th, eight yards at the 6th and ten feet at the 7th and was out in 34 to turn three up on Belle Robertson.
