Julia Greenhalgh, in her 18th year of trying, reached her first final by beating American champion and favourite Beth Daniel 3 and 2, holing a four-foot putt for the half at the 16th.
Edwina Kennedy won the long 17th of the final with a six after Greenhalgh missed from six feet, then got up and down from over the 18th green with a chip and four-foot putt to win by one hole.
