What happened at the 1980 Women’s Amateur
Anne Sander, 42, was one under par for the 17 holes of the final against Liv Wollin, 22 years after her first U.S. Women's Amateur title.
Sander's 15-year-old son David caddied all week and spotted that she was addressing the ball too far forward.
Final, Anne Sander v. Liv Wollin. Sander, one under par for 17 holes, won 3 and 1 and became the winner of four major amateur titles under four names (Quast, Decker, Welts, Sander).
