What happened at the 1995 Open Championship
Needing a birdie at the 72nd hole, Rocca fluffed his pitch into the Valley of Sin and then holed a putt of about 65 feet to force the playoff.
In the playoff Rocca took three shots to escape the Road Hole Bunker at the 17th and made 7. Daly won by four over the four holes.
On the third playoff hole (the Road Hole 17th), Rocca took three shots to get out of the Road Hole Bunker and made 7, leaving Daly the winner by four (15 to 19).
