What happened at the 2025 U.S. Open

Spaun bogeyed five of his first six holes and was out in 40 (CBS Sports). He then drove the 17th green for a birdie and holed a 64-foot, 5-inch birdie putt on the 18th (CBS Sports), the longest putt made by anyone all week at Oakmont (NBC Sports). MacIntyre's closing 68 was the only under-par round among the final 17 pairings.
