Betsy King's final-round 73 carried her to a two-shot victory over Marta Figueras-Dotti, a year after she had finished a distant second to Okamoto at Woburn.

Figueras-Dotti's second place was the second of her three runner-up finishes (1980, 1985, 1986), a championship record she still shares.
