What happened at the 2016 Open Championship

Stenson birdied the 14th, 15th, 16th and 18th in a closing 63 for a major-record 264.

Mickelson opened with 63 and shot 65 on Sunday, eagling the 4th, yet still finished three behind.

Stenson holed a birdie putt of more than 51 feet at the 15th, the putt the R&A says "would come to define his lifting of the Claret Jug".
