Sörenstam's third-round 64 set a tournament 54-hole record of 199 and gave her a six-stroke lead entering the final round.
After a double bogey at the 9th and bogeys at 10 and 11 cut her lead to three, Sörenstam lofted a 94-yard wedge over a towering stand of trees at the 16th to set up birdie and won by three.
