What happened at the 1955 LPGA Championship

After rain washed out Thursday's play, the field played 36 holes on Saturday to finish the 54-hole stroke-play stage, which Beverly Hanson led at 220 (-5), three ahead of Louise Suggs.

Hanson then beat Suggs 4 and 3 in the 36-hole championship match, the only time the LPGA Championship has ended in a match-play final.
